Busy Busy

As usual, the day of my departure was super hectic. Work was crazy and as I confessed to several friends, I have not done as much planning as I'm used to. Work, life, and etc has been too consuming and knowing I was spending several days in each city and 6 nights in Barcelona, I knew that I'll have more flexibility than usual. Plus, I already know I will want to go back and do a northern trip, a southern coastal trip, and maybe the islands!

With all the crazy business, I managed to sneak in a steak lunch with a client and left the office at 4 pm. Of course I managed to screw up and stayed on the F train for too long. The lovely folks at the MTA failed to note that the E stops at Van Wyck stop only after 7:30 pm and I had to double-back one stop. In the security line, I managed to run into a high school friend, Joe who was off to the Cannes film festival. Lucky guy.

Well, they're calling now for all those going to Madrid... which includes me!

PS Congrats to Ryan and Siobhan for their new baby girl! My sincerest congratulations and I can't wait to meet her upon my return. And my prayers for Siobhan's father who has been found after an emotional and upsetting week. I will continue to pray for you and hope the blessing of your new daughter provides some joy during this difficult time.
