Island Time

After sleeping in a little, I walked around the resort to get my bearings and went to get breakfast at the Windows on the Sound restaurant. Then I hopped on the trolley down to the private beach. I slept, had a few signature cocktails, and got a little burnt. Here’s a photo of the beach:



Early afternoon I headed back up to the pool where there were a ton of kids and ducks!



I enjoyed a salmon wrap and a Prosecco happy hour before heading back to my room. I showered to wash my hair and headed to the spa pools where I tried the different jacuzzis as I waited for my massage appointment. A few photos from the different jacuzzis:







Everyone kept telling me all week the hotel had the best spa, so I decided to treat myself. The massage was fabulous and I had dinner at the Jasmine restaurant - I decided not to drink anymore alcohol for the day, but did have a chicken sandwich.

Afterwards, I got ready for bed and my early departure. My hotel booked me on the 6 am shuttle, so I could get my early flight back to New York and where I stay put for awhile - I have no travel plans for the next 2 months!

On Island

2 days of work meetings and speed dating after dodging tropical storm jerry, I am finally done with my global tour of meeting markets with my final stop in Bermuda.

The last time I was here was 2014 when I escorted a client and this trip was my first time as client. People were happy to meet me and I had great questions, conversations, lunches, and dinners. I also ran into and spent time with familiar faces.

And folks talk about being on and off island and I’ve had to be so “on” as I tried to make a good impression!

After two nights at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, I switched to the Fairmont Southampton where I will hopefully have a day of rest!
